Heaven and earth now stand apart. The sun and moon move, and mountains, rivers, plants and animals have taken their places.
Yet the story still lacks a new observer: humanity.
This volume begins with Nüwa’s creation of humans and follows the first fire, dwelling and clothing. It also asks whether the “Three Ancestors of Humanity” belong to early texts, later tradition, modern literature or online remix.
Humans have entered the world, but the age of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors has not yet begun.
